We offer many different styles of classes, including ballet, jazz, hip hop, acro/tumbling, and combo classes. New students may join our Combo, Ballet, Jazz Technique, or Acro Classes at any time throughout the year. Performances for Recreational Students occur in February and May.

2-5 Year Morning Combo Class

Monthly tuition is discounted to $20 for this class.
​
Combo classes are available for ages 2+. These classes will teach Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Creative, and Tumbling skills. Recreational students ages 5+ are also welcome to sign up for our Jazz Technique, Ballet Technique, and Acro/Gymnastics classes. Students must be age 6+ in order to sign up for Aerial Silk classes. You can find these class options in the "Classes by style" section below.

Combo class students can wear any clothing to class that is easy to move in (no jeans), but dance-wear and ballet shoes are recommended. Because they will be tumbling, we recommend wearing clothing that will not easily fall off the torso when inverted. Students in these classes will be performing in the recital, and will need to purchase a costume. They will also need dance shoes (pink ballet shoes for 2-3 and 4-5 year old classes, and tan neoprene turners for 5-8 and 9+ classes).

Ballet Technique
Students in these classes will be performing in the recital, and will need to purchase specific attire. They must wear a leotard, tights, and ballet shoes to class, and are expected to have hair pulled back into a bun.

Pointe Technique
Monday 6:00-7:00 PM
Dancers must be approved to take this class, as we carefully evaluate each student to ensure their strength, technique, and foot flexibility are prepared properly to limit the risk of injury. In order to ensure the safety of each student, enrollment for this class is not available online. If you have already been approved to take ballet classes en pointe and would like to enroll in this class, or if you would like to schedule an evaluation to be considered for enrollment in this class, please email tenisha@emberdanceacademy.com.

Acro/Tumbling

Open Gym

This class will run alongside the solo class. Students are welcome to attend this class to practice any dance or acro skills they need to work on. Teachers will be available to give critiques and assistance, but the student will be responsible for ensuring they come with a skill in mind, and to ensure they are utilizing their practice time effectively.
Competitive Classes
Solo Class
All Ages- Friday 7:00-8:00 PM
This class is for students who are working to compete a solo, duet, or trio. You must have choreography prior to beginning this class. If you are in need of a choreographer, please reach out to us and we can get a plan in place to begin your choreography. If you have learned at least a section of your choreography, that is enough to begin this class. No choreography will occur during class time, as this class is intended to increase technical and performance abilities of the dancer and prepare them for competition.
